Thanks Sebastian for the workaround trick. I will try to see if it works.
Regarding the other tips: I am fully aware of all of this. I only compiled the OSG sources using the official supplied dependancy binaries downloaded from openscenegraph.org.
However, I would appreciate if someone who has access to the source tree used to build the dependencies could really dig into this instead of handing the problem to all users. Probably you just need to use a ifstream or ofstream in the app compiled towards OSG to get the error.
Also, the zlib version in the Collada DOM lib needs to be synchronized with the libxml2 version, as I described earlier.
If I had access to the source tree for the dependencies I would try to fix this myself, but I have no idea who built this. It must be recent however, as it uses the VS2013 compiler... Note that I mean the real directory tree where the build was performed not dozens of git and svn repositories for the plethora of dependency sources. I have tried that one and spent a man month or so ending up not even being able to create a collada plugin lib.
