Hello all, Thanks for your previous replies regarding Segfaults on Linux during realize() call.
The solution I opted for was to upgrade the system from RH 8 to Fedora core 4. OSG compiled and installed without any hassle. Does anyone think it is worth keeping a list of linux distros /graphics cards/driver combinations that OSG has trouble on? Just a simple list eg Distro, Card, Driver RH 8, Quadro FX 500, ... N FC 4, Quadro FX 500, ... Y FC 4, Quadro FX 4500, ... Y Related to that - I couldn't get OSG working on Fedora Core 5, but this was an nvidia driver issue. It seems that there is a non-standard setup for nvidia drivers on FC5.
