Hi Yefie,

Producer will automatically find all your displays and open up on them.

For fine tuning all you need to do is create a custom producer config
file, look to:

   Producer/doc/Tutorial/SourceCode/*.cfg

For examples of cfg files.

 osgviewer cow.osg -c threePipe.cfg

Under linux you may have to configure your etc/X11/xorg.conf. See the
KnowledgeBase section on the webstite for details on Don and my
discussions of this.

Hi Folks,

So far my OSG applications have been using a single
Producer::RenderSurface to drive a single window. Just
now I'm trying to find out if it is possible to drive
three displays from a single computer, to render the
left, center, and right views of a driving simulator. I
searched on the OSG archive and found some discussions
a few years back. Don mentioned then he'd create Producer
to handle such situations. So I imagine by now some of
the OSG users should have already successfully
implemented single computer/multiple display systems with
the help of Producer. I'm quite clueless, but I wonder
if three displays can be driven by say installing two
GeForce dual GPU Quad SLI boards in a PC. One message
from Oct. 2002 stated that it was impossible to do
hardware acceleration on both boards under Windows when
there were two graphics boards on a computer. Is this
still the case? Does Producer help out on this issue?
Does it automatically detect the two dual GPU video cards
and let me say create three render surfaces and manage them
individually?

Any tips on building such an system is appreciated,
both on hardware setup and software design.

    Best Regards,

    Yefei
