I' m also interested in displaying cloud points coming out from laser
scanner acquisitions.
To start I was thinking to use PagedLOD organized in an octree simple
schema:
each level have at most a fixed number of points, when more points are
added, split the node.
As I understand, if lod range overlap so topmost node is always on, I do
not need to repeat points and I can just insert new points into.
I' ll start working on that next month, any hint or example code to
start will be greatly welcomed.
