Have you made the OBJ file in question available somewhere?

Hmm. Deep Exploration shows it has no UV coordinates, and examination of the file
confirms what Robert said -- no UVs.
I'm not sure how the other viewer could be displaying the texture properly unless it's
just inventing some UV transform because it didn't find anything.
