Ok, in the meantime I have started a request at HP's OpenGL group.
They were aware of some of the problems and are now aware of the rest.
Our contact person at HP appeares to be very cooperative.
According to him, some of the problems will be fixed with  
PHSS_32969/PHSS_32968, while some of the required fixes, will appear with the 
next update.
In this case I will not look for a workaround for GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object 
and this specific patchlevel.

We have here a small set of remaining patches for OSG that we need to make it 
compile with some not so common platforms like HP-UX, SunOS ... .
You will get them as soon as possible to be included in 1.1.1 ...
