The likely culprit is the "INTEL 915 graphics chipset" and driver
I'm afraid the type integrated graphics chips and Opengl don't mix, there has been many discussion on this list and every other Opengl based Apps/API's forums about the multituted of issue when tyring to use integrated Intel chips sets and Opengl You can try finding a later( possibly better) driver for the chip set, but other than that there not too much that we can do as typically the hardware and driver when using integrated chips are cause of the problem The simple fact is these chips are no designed for being used with advance opengl products such as OSG, they are really designed for MS word and MS execel Best Regards Gordon __________________________________________________________ Gordon Tomlinson Email : gordon.tomlinson @ overwatch.com YIM/AIM : Gordon3dBrit MSN IM : Gordon3dBrit @ 3dscenegraph.com __________________________________________________________ "Self defence is not a function of learning tricks but is a function of how quickly and intensely one can arouse one's instinct for survival" - Master Tambo Tetsura -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mike Lynch Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 7:48 AM To: OSG Users Subject: [osg-users] Exit problem on RC1 on Windows I've noticed this problem with both the Windows binary package and OSG built from the RC1 sources. Whenever I press the <ESC> key to exit from one of the examples the screen goes blank except for a cursor and NEVER comes back. The cursor moves around and key presses seem to be doing something, but I never get video back. I can only get it back by power cycling the machine, which is not a very friendly way to treat Windows. The target machine is an Acer Aspire 1640 laptop with a mobile INTEL 915 graphics chipset. OSG version is RC1 built from source tarball on the website.
