Sorry there are NO books on OSG at this time, the Navy Mil examples are about as good as your going to get at this time, along with all examples with OSG and of course you have the Source to OSG
At the end of the day you get what you pay for .... I have a tonne of examples I want to add to my FAQ's at www.3dscenegraph.com but time does not permit that to happen at the moment OSG follows a very similar route as most of the well known Scenegraphs so if you know Vega, Performer etc you should be able to apply the same principals, naming conventions and type are pretty similar for the most part If you don't know Performer then you can down load the Performer User guides and Programming guides see links on this page http://www.3dscenegraph.com/performer/index.htm they provide a very good introduction to scenegraphs and principals that relate directly to OSG.
