- NVTriStrip
- OSG tristrip
- my own algo if I had time (later otherwhise).

It would be very interesting to hear of the results. 

The OSG's tristrip could certainly do further refinement, for instance sorting the tristrips so they are better ordered for cache coherency. 

Also using try out glDrawRangeElements would be an interesting thing to profile.  The osg::DrawElements* classes don't use it right now, but could easily use it given an appropriate range check.
