Well, actually, the scene _is_ moving closer and farther, in fact, what you see as the clipping plane moving, is actually the model moving to the clipping plane.  This is the nature of the orthographic projection.  Perpsective projections cause a model to appear smaller when it is further away and larger when it is near.  Orthographic projections do not.

BTW, be aware of the convertToOrtho() and convertToPerspective() calls.

Hi all,

I would like to toggle between perspective and orthographic
viewing modes in my application.  I am using osgProducer and
use the camera functions 'setLensPerspective' and
'setLensOrtho' to get the job done.  I expected the
trackball zoom functionality to work for the ortho mode like
it does for the perspective mode but it doesn't.  Instead,
it appears that a clipping plane is moving and just cutting
away geometry.
The scene itself does not get moved closer or farther at
all.  Panning and rotation work correctly.

Is this a bug or am I not doing something correctly?

Thanks,
Michael
