Marco Jez the author of osgNV is currently heavily commited to a current work project to the extent that he very little available time for support work, so should rely upon Marco to update the project. The body of work is open source so you can always update it yourselves and post the mods to get it working with OSG-1.2, perhaps Marco would have the time to merge the changes, if not the changes could be posted on the community section of openscenegraph.org.
