I'd guess that the old plugin is no longer compiled in the Xcode projects.
You can always fallback to the makefile system, you can be sure that it'll do the right thing.

I believe this problem with have existed in 1.1 too, as this is when the new
OpenFlight plugin was introduced. Did you try 1.1?
