Hi,
osgText doesn't seem to compute it's bound/center correct. Any
conformation on this ?

Depending on how you set up osgText the bounding volume will be computed differently, and it often is view dependent so its bounding volume can even change from frame to frame.

Robert.

I have noticed the same problem. Looking into osgText::Text it appears as though it cannot return a proper bounding sphere centroid until after the first time it's drawn (?). It returns (0,0,0) as the centroid instead. If your Text's Geode starts out under an LOD, the LOD cannot get a proper centroid to determine when to switch the Text in the first time around. (I am using autoRotateToScreen but I don't know whether that matters.) I am currently working around this by setting the LOD range to maximum, then using an update callback to set the proper LOD range after the second update traversal. -gw
