I happy to see that osgIntrospection will use more than today.
Indeed at this date (17/10/2006) only a few project are based on osgIntrospection:
osgLUA by Jose Luis Hidalgo
Orihalcon framework by Toshiyuki Takahei
osgEdit by Richie Rodriguez and Ruben Lopez (perhaps not yet, but soonly)
osgDesigner by Laurent Marchal, Louise Jacquot and David Callu (me)
sorry for forgetton project, I only found this 4 project
I think osgIntrospection needs some update:
memory leak must be fix
allow global property and method reflection
define c++ scope concept (Property, Method and Type contenaire ). the Type class already implemented, but not the Namespace
...
And the API compatibility should probably broken.
So if anybody start an osgIntrospection based project, keep in mind that evolution is require and code modification too.
I already start to think of the evolution and i have envisaged to start a discution on it.
I already contact Marco Jez on this topic and he is aggree.
But I have envisaged to finish the first release of osgDesigner before (in 1 or 2 week).
It coul'd be great if somebody are *very* confident with the osgIntrospection code.
Introspection is a hard task and the evolution of osgIntrospection must be done very well to be the last one (I ate the non-API compatibilty library (like some windows API ;-) ).
So if there are some hard-coder or osgIntrospection-confident-coder, WELCOME TO YOU :-).
The osgIntrospection Wiki page is a good source of Introspection information.
The new CERN project named Reflex is a very good Introspection library too.
