Hi,

1. You need Mingw and Msys, osg can (with the existing makefiles) only be compiled using the msys-shell 2. You need libs from the gnuwin32-project. Usually they can be unzipped in the mingw-folder and then they will be in the right place (dlls go to mingw/bin, libs to mingw/lib and includes to mingw/include or, alternatively, to usr/local, which is - using windows filenames - at msys/local .
3. You need freetype, place the files as described above
4. I did not need any modifications to the makefiles, only see the page in the wiki about the folders that must be created first (Website - Documentation - Getting started - mingw) 5. The .profile file that must be edited (as explained in the wiki) is in msys/1.0/home/yourname/.profile

Ask again if problems occur, and when you are finished, read my thread about the examples using fbo!

Regards,

Andreas

Alternatively, if you wish you can try an alternative CMake building method: grab from cvs:

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/unigrids co OSGWork_devcpp

then run run build_msys.sh

it is an experimental pack that include a devcpp+msys + cmake+ scripts to
download OSG,Producer,OpenThreads, source dependencies and compile them
It also include builds for NPS tutorial.

It is still work in progress so... try... if it works , otherwise either trow everytyhing away or mail me.
