The gathering went very well and feedback from attendees was that there should be made an annual event so you might just get your chance to attend next year :-) I'm still digesting all the various discussions, as no doubt are the other attendees. Rather than throw all the topics in a single email my plan is to post stuff up on the wiki, and start threads for various topics. We'll need to post other polls too. One gating factor is that I've got to get back to other work the event interrupted so I can't devote much time to writing up all that happened, this will mean I'll have to do things bit by bit so it might be a period of a month that things roll out into write up/community discussion. I view the event as very much part of the continuum of what happens on the list. One thing I can say is that I'm convinced that the event will certainly have a positive impact on the overall project - software, documentation, infrastructure, there are lots of good ideas and resolve to push things forward. I think another important factor was that it brought into the focus the importance of openness and community to the success of the project, both in the past and going forward. Also worth mentioning that we certainly enjoyed some great food, good company, some sun, more rain, enchanting scenery, castles and just a few tipples of some of the finest whiskies that the world has to offer ;-) Robert. _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://openscenegraph.net/mailman/listinfo/osg-users http://www.openscenegraph.org/ _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://openscenegraph.net/mailman/listinfo/osg-users http://www.openscenegraph.org/
