I have just ported an OS X application which uses the nightly build of OSG from 11th November this year, to Windows...

The app uses the new SimpleViewer class, and runs as a shell program on OS X, and (in theory) a Win32 console application on the PC...

On OS X it is fine, however the exact same code on the PC gives popup error boxes from Producer, which ...

a) Are really nice and neat!

b) I have never seen before..

Basically it says that it "cannot find window class".

The app runs fine, but because it can't find a window class it won't realize a viewing window.

I am tracing through this now, and beginning to understand that console apps on Windows don't have access (by default) to the GUI stuff, but cannot find any sources to explain much further..

Any PC gurus out there who can tell me how to force this Console app to play nicely with Producer?

Thanks.

Stephen.
