I do not think neither that the script will loose the names of the committers.
Looking briefly at the source code, it looks much more than a "commit
translator" script.
Thanks for the info. The move to svn now looks on and reasonably low risk. The next big question to resolve is where to host the server... most of this discussion is now over on osg-crew so if you want to chip in feel free to join the list.
