Comments welcome, as my experience with static building OSG is very recent.

Thanks hugely, Ignacio! I was really hoping someone who had been through the process recently could do this while it was fresh in their minds.

Did you see the recent traffic about removing the dependencies in the OSG VC++ workspace before compiling? I didn't see that mentioned here.

Also, there was some other discussion about how to make the mangled-name referencing process easier. Do you have any thoughts about this?
