Thanks very much Pete. Yes, I understood that there are really issues with SPIClops. Thanks for updating me with Elumenati. I will check it out. In the mean time I would be happy if someone has already done such things using OSG.

There are known issues with the SPIClops API, and they are now bankcrupt. You can acheve the same completely within OSG, have a look at osgprerendercubemap for examples. The only other API that could fill the Elumens gap is omnimap offered by the Elumenati - which is technically superior.
