Hi Brede,

Just in case others don't realise, Brede was is the original author of
both the original and the new OpenFlight plugin. The original
OpenFlight plugin is historic artifact as it was the first
contribution from the community to the OpenSceneGraph, and was
contributed 6 years ago, pretty well to the day in fact.

Brede is very much one of the early adopters of the OpenSceneGraph,
while very imature I guess it showed just enough potential for his
boss to let him experimental this little project. The contribution of
the OpenFlight plugin is certainly one of most significant points in
the projects history, if it weren't for this old plugin the vis-sim
industry would not have have embraced the project as enthusastically
as it has done.

Ever since this early contribution, the contributions have kept on
coming, first a trickle right up to the mature river we see today.
Would much of this river have been diverted if it weren't for this
first trickle? We will never know, its kinda unnerving even
speculating...

So it came to pass, the OpenSceneGraph grew up and became a success,
and Brede gave life to a new userper to the OpenFlight crown, and has
even put the boot in the old OpenFlight for good measure :-)

I think it only proper that we should find a little display frame for
the old stalwart, show it a little respect for the its long service
and the positive role its had in the OpenSceneGraph story.

Robert.
