you usually have to run ldconfig after changing the contents of ld.so.conf. -charles

could you post the value you set your  LD_LIBRARY_PATH to and the exact
error messages you are having when running runexamples.bat?

Is your Ubuntu 32 or 64 bit based?

Now i am having problem to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the Ubuntu linux
platform
whenever i try to run the examples by  the command sh runexamples.bat i
get bulk of errors specifying that the shared library cannot open : No
such file or directory.


It has been quite long that i m stuck over here and i really do
appreciate help here


(By the way i edited ld.so.conf file specifying the path as specified in
the osg_conf file and then i ran  the command ldconfig......BUT didint
work)
