I haven't tried it with the CVS version.  I doubt that would be broken,
though.  Did you open the data and view it with osgviewer?  Are you sure
your data has LODs in it?

it writes many files out, but it doesn't seems to work. because after
converting, i open with textpad and search for 'pagedLOD' in all generated
files, no pagedLOD node found. may it no longer work with latest CVS version
or i have really write out owns pagedLOD files, or what would you propose. ?

I think osgpagedlod may do this?  I'm not sure you want all your LODs to be
paged though.  Try running 
osgpagedlod -h    //for help
and
probably
osgpagedlod --makeAllChildrenPaged yourModel.flt -o output.ive
 
Look at the osgpagedlod code to modify it for your needs.
