Hi Melis, W.r.t Collada support, the OSG's plugin is new so will just cover the basics right now, over time I expect members of the community will find an area that is lacking and add the required support - this is the beauty of open source ;-)
So if you do find areas lacking for your own work learn a bit about the OSG source and the COLLADA DOM that it uses and roll your sleeves up and add what is missing. While this might seem a bit daunting, it isn't too bad once you get into it. I believe COLLADA to be the right format for what you want to do so will probably be worth the investment. Robert. Hi Robert; Thanks for the comments. I have biased towards the usage of Collada, and found out that it is really pretty new in that it doesnt support(the one for the osg - Collada reader writer 1.4) not only animation but camera and light yet, but really very nice job :)), I think I will let a try to ColladaMaya... Thanks a lot again :) Melis On 1/28/07, Robert Osfield <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Melis, > > From your list the OSG has readers for VRML, .3ds, .x (directx - works > on all platforms) and Collada.
