Hi All,

I would like to start moving the OpenSceneGraph towards it next
release. There is still quite a bit of work left to do on it, but
like steering a big ship, you need to start steering in the right
direction well before you get to your destination. Because I'm so
busy I need to make the next OSG as smooth as possible, so would like
to clear any potential tasks out of the way, and this is where
OpenThreads - we must first release OpenThreads before we can move on
to SG.

In last few OSG/OP/OT releases I have been forced to coordinates the
release of OpenThreads, Producer and OpenSceneGraph all at once. Its
a nightmare that I really don't want to relive. With osgProducer
moving out of the core OSG part of the dependency chain is resolved,
leaving only OpenThreads as the major external dependencies that must
be release before the OSG gets released. This time round rather than
do the OpenThreads release at the same time I suggest we go for an
OpenThreads release well in advance of the OSG release.

I would dearly love members of the community to step forward and help
out and lead the drive to get a stable release of OpenThreads out. I
have am extremely busy so really could do without the burden of having
to assume responsibility for OpenThreads.

So volunteers please :-)

Also need feedback on what else might need to go into the next release
of OpenThreads.

Robert.
