I honour that asking for an ETA _now_ is silly. Yet it would be
valuable to know at least end of April if a release before end of May
is likely to happen or not. The LinuxTag exhibition and conference
takes place end of May and FlightGear is probably not the only
participant that uses OSG.
In order to make a plan that works (TM) it would be valuable to know if
we're going to present a FlightGear that bases on OSG or one that
doesn't.

I would like to see a release of the OSG as soon as possible, but
can't say when this might be. The bulk of the functionality is done,
but its that last 10% to reaching completion that can be hardest,
through in the fact that I have RSI its not a great mix.

What can pull the date forward is the community getting behind efforts
to complete the CMake build system, and testing the OSG out across
platforms. And in testing if you come across a bug knuckle down and
try to help fix it and my capacity to do so is depleted until RSI
retreats.

The sooner we can get OpenThreads and OpenSceneGraph shaken down the
sooner we can get a release out, for these releases to happen sooner
rather than later I'm afraid the community will need to much of the
leg work in forcing things along. So if users want to see a release
in April, then this is possible, but only if the community makes it
possible.
