Having multiple build systems is real real problems for maintenance,
this is the whole point of the CMake build system. I will be removing
the old VS and Make system very soon, and XCode as soon as possible
afterwards.
Compiling under FreeBSD and Solaris should be straight forward for
Cmake as they are just unix systems, albeit without their own install
paths for dependencies and few compile option changes if any.
