Hi.
When I try to attach a texture(JPG picture) to a DEM file ,using the command as something like this:
>>osgdem -t texture.jpg -d terrain.dem -l 8 -o out.ive
There existed a information below:
*
error: Unable to compute a transformation between pixel/line and
georeferenced coordinates for texture.jpg. There is no affine transformation
and no GCP's.
*
And of course ,the result I got is not what I expected, there's just the picture on a plane(missing the terrain information)
How to deal with such situation?

What you get is a GDAL error.
You should create a "World File" or a VRT file for GDAL to tell the georeferencement of your image.
World file is quick but limited to homogeneous coordinate systems.
VRT is more complex but also more complete:
- image own coordinate system (SRS)
- calibration points (GCP)
...
