Thanks everyone for the input - it looks like the large M90 will be the
one (I'll just have to get fit).

Its worth keeping an eye on http://www.europc.co.uk - they often have
M90s and M70s at huge discounts - their Precision workstations are
cheap too. I got one with a Quadro 3450 for £500 - less than the card
is worth. They are Dells that people have specced up but never paid
for...
I also found this firm recently, pretty cheap, and nicely svelte...

This site is brilliant for looking at 3D performance on laptops...

Hi
Has anyone got a recommendation of a laptop (UK availability and not
a 4kg monster) that would be good for driving an osg derived program
- I assume it would need an nVidia card from comments I have seen.
Is there any known problems with Vista (at any particular level) -
there have been some messages but some people seem to have no problem.
Thanks for any help

Hi,
I have a Samsung X11 with NVidia card, works very well with osg (much
better than the ATI-Card I had before), and is very light! But be
aware, that linux compatibility is not very well. Suse 10.0 crashed
on installation. On the other hand, meanwhile I got the newest
knoppix to run on it, with 3D support (and cool 3D window manager
...), so you would probably get linux to run on it properly, too.
There are different versions, be sure to get the one with nvidia card
and real video ram.
Regards,
Andreas
