Hi Stou,

We've just had a discussion on the Producer list regarding the use of WxWidgets and I'm about to put up an example contributed by Doug McCorkle.

I cannot take too much credit for the example. The code with Producer and wxWidgets is much simpler than any of the other examples I have found with wx and OSG. I recommend giving it a try.

I'd suggest that you join the Producer-users list for any advice or assistance with Producer here:

The only Producer advice you'll get on this list is to move away from it.

Subject: [osg-users] wxWidgets and Producer / Viewer
Hi,

I have searched the internets but I haven't been able to find a really
good answer to this, even though I realize it has been discussed
plenty of times.

The samples that ship with OSG, the ones that use Producer have fluid
mouse navigation, and I would like to somehow use this navigation with
my wxWidgets based application... but I can not figure out a way to
push mouse events to producer itself? Currently my app follows the
glut example and does it's own scene view manipulations... but it
would be far better if I can hand that off to OSG. Can this be done?
I can not find the wxWidgets version of osgsimple viewer in svn and
mVue doesn't use producer at all.

Regards,

Stou
