I successfully compiled COLLADA + OSG by using SVN sources under Linux
(ubuntu edgy). I can open some Collada files but not all of them. For
example I can open the example "jengaPhysics" from
"http://collada.org/owl/" but I can't open the file "Moon Buggy" (some
parts of scene is missing). I tried to open a 17Mo file and after 15min
it was still not open. I think my file is good because I can open it
with OSG under Windows. I don't have this problem with a small file
(1-2Mo).
Did someone try to open a COLLADA file with OSG bigger then 5Mo ? Under
linux (I can do it under windows) ?
Here is the file I can't open under Linux : http://apery.iiens.net/try.dae .
Cheers

It's strange, because I used the version of Collada specified in the
file "OpenSceneGraph/src/osgPlugins/dae/README.txt"
namely "COLLADA_1.4.1_DOM_1.3.0.zip".
I tried to compile this plugin by using the SVN version (using cmake)
but it still get the same error (I put the Collada_Dom library into
/usr/local/lib).
You told me you did compile OSG1.2 with the Collada plugin under
Linux.
Could you tell me which version of Collada and OSG you used ? And
which
Linux distribution do you use?
Suse10.0. Collada version was possibly the CVS version of the 1.4.0,
we are talking 8 months ago now so can't remember exactly.
BTW, I go the latest SVN of OSG compiling with Collada under Linux and
it runs as long as a add the libs to my library path, installing them
into /usr/local/lib should work as well.
