If the documentation could be generate from source, there are no reason
to put it in the zip archive.
- because like you say, its size is greater than the source itself.
- because the Doxyfile needed for generate the documentation is give
with the package.
- because everyone could generate the documentation like he want.
Personally I add the source code to the input and I generate all
protected and private function,
this is a good way to learn OSG from the source code (this is the
OSG philosophy, "learn from source").
- because this documentation could be "GENERATE" so why don't use this
avantage.
- because If a coder don't know use Doxygen, it's probably a good think
that he learn howto generate the code.
- because if OSG is just use like a dependancy, the documentation is
useless.
The alternative could be to provide another zip with all the
documentation.
