What kind of time-frame do you have in mind up to the 2.2 release?

I did wonder about doing it for Siggraph, but this is a bit close now,
just four weeks away.

I would like to get the next stable OSG release to be a Direct3D 10
killer, i.e. support geometry shaders, instancing, new texture formats
and anti-aliased FBO's and do it all platforms - not just Vista. None
of these extension are a huge stretch for the OSG, but I'm real busy
with other tasks, perhaps members of the community can jump in :-)

There is the other aspect - the need to get a stable release out to
fix the errors that went out with 2.0. The API has already moved on
enough to break binary compatability so there no longer an
oppportunity of quickly tagging a 2.0.1 without lots of work managing
branches, something I simply don't have time for. From this aspect
making a 2.2 sooner rather than later would be good.

Robert.
