Hello,
I met exatcly the same problem. The computer is using Windows XP Pro x64
Edition Version 2003 SP2. OSGeo4W had never been installed before on this
computer.
I downloaded the setup from the web site (30/06/2010).
I choosed "advanced installation".
When I check "gdal" box, no dependency is set.
I checked the setup.ini file which looks complete.
I installed OSGeo4W on other computers without any problem before (some
months before).
