#174: loading netcdf into QGIS does not work

Hello,
try to load the following file:
ftp://sidads.colorado.edu/pub/DATASETS/snow/nsidc0321v01/north/NL.2004.nsidc0321v01.nc
into QGIS.
It fails saying that it's not a regonised layer.
Panoply loads and plot this data correctly.
