Hi people, I made substantial progress in the Python 2.7 switch and uploaded a bunch of new packages to the testing repository. See the wikipage for the updates[1].
The gdal-python package is also included. It was created by rebuilding just the bindings from source and merging everything in from the previous package, which I consider a temporary solution. I suppose the packaging of the bindings is normally handled, when the GDAL package itself is built. It was just the last obstacle that kept me from building a QGIS package with Python 2.7 - which is up next... Jürgen [1] http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/wiki/RequiresPython -- Jürgen E.
