 This appears to be a graphics driver issue in Ubuntu on ASUS ROG machines
 that have dual GPU.
 Seems there is a grub workaround but for the live boot you'll need to make
 the modification to the grub launch every time you boot up.

 Add one of the following to grub boot command:

 OR
 nvidia.modeset=0
 }}}
