Colin,

iPOJO provides two mechanisms to detect this kind of issue. First, when you
create a component, the creator receives an exception if the configuration
or the activation failed (iPOJO also writes the error in the log service is
available). Then, iPOJO provides a way to introspect created instances. This
allows analyzing your system in order to detect issues (such as unresolved
service dependencies, non valid instances (something wrong happened) ...).

Regards,

Clement

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at that. Out of curiosity, do
any of the other various component frameworks handle this better?

Cheers,
Colin
