Yup, I think we should welcome any OSGi related question here as long as they're not specific on how to use Environment X or Y. Looking at the traffic, I do not think it is already necessary to separate those questions.

No need to apologise though, we're on a growth curve and looking at the questions in the past I they've usually been a bit advanced but I guess the increased adoption will change this

Kind regards,

David,

I have always read "OSGi developers" to mean developers of OSGi
frameworks. If I have misunderstood then I apologise for that.

Neil

First, this mailing list is not for "noob" type questions, it is
intended for use by implementers and advanced users of OSGi
frameworks. You should try newsgroups or the #osgi channel on IRC
(freenode).

I personally see no issues with noob type questions on this list.

The definition of this mailing list from
http://www.osgi.org/MailLists/HomePage is as follows:

This is a technical mail list for OSGi Developers. Any OSGi technical
discussion or questions are acceptable here.

I don't think its limited to developers of OSGi Frameworks. Any developer who is doing technical work with OSGi can post. Technical newbie questions
would also fit under that banner IMHO.
BTW What newsgroups are you suggesting Neil? Could you be a little more
specific?

Best regards,

David
