Hi all,

According to 112.5.5, Factory Component, (Declarative Services in R.4.2
compendium) a component factory is satisfied if the component is enabled
and any service references are satisfied. Particularly the presence of a
Configuration is not part of the satisfaction requirement (as opposed to
112.5.2, Satisfied, which requires a Configuration object if
configuration-policy=require).

Questions:

Q1. Is the configuration-policy attribute to be ignored in the case of
Factory Components ?

Q2. Or is it just an oversight and a factory component must respect the
configuration-policy like any other component ?

Regards
Felix
