In the EEG we're currently talking about enhancements to the Event
Admin service, or possibly a new 'Distributed Eventing' service. See
here: https://github.com/osgi/design/tree/master/rfcs/rfc0214
If you have any thoughts about that RFC, do let us know!

Additionally, this might be a topic of interest to the IoT workshops
that OSGi holding. See www.osgi.org
