Hi Marc, Yes, this was removed on purpose. I’m glad that you found the original page useful (and it will remain in Git history any time you want to refer to it) but it doesn’t align with the goals of enRoute, which are to teach people with little/no OSGi experience to use OSGi, and to promote OSGi best practices. One of the problems that the old site had was that it had massively expanded beyond this set of goals, and had resulted in lots of details that distracted from the core purpose of enRoute.
The more general OSGi content from the old site has been/is being moved to osgi.org, where it fits much better. The page that you’re referring to doesn’t actually talk about OSGi much at all, hence it hasn’t been moved.
