All I am writing to you on behalf of the OSGi Alliance.
Thanks for your discussions around OSGi enRoute. Apologies for the Alliance not replying sooner but be assured we heard your comments and have been working to identify the best way forward. We really don’t want to have any confusion in the community around the naming etc, so thanks for highlighting the issues. We also appreciate that we could have provided availability of the old version(s). So I hope the following clarifies any questions: 1. OSGi enRoute is an OSGi Alliance sponsored project to make it easier to get started with OSGi. The latest, and OSGi Alliance supported version, is, and will always be available at enroute.osgi.org <http://enroute.osgi.org/>. This version is currently called 'OSGi enRoute for R7' 2. The previous version was called OSGi enRoute v2. This is now deprecated and is not supported by the OSGi Alliance. 3. We have rehosted the OSGi enRoute v2 website and repo for those who do not intend to use the latest version of OSGi enRoute. This website can be found at https://v2archive.enroute.osgi.org/ <https://v2archive.enroute.osgi.org/> and the OSGi enRoute v2 bundles can be found in the Github repo at https://github.com/osgi/v2archive.osgi.enroute <https://github.com/osgi/v2archive.osgi.enroute>. Thanks for the ongoing community interest. Stay tuned as we get the R7 RI’s released so we can release OSGi enRoute for R7. We will also be expanding the examples and if anyone has any suggestions or ideas for new examples we would love to hear from you. Please also keep the comments and PRs coming as we are always looking to improve OSGi enRoute. Regards Mike Francis OSGi Alliance VP of Marketing
