Hello Dima,

my name is Kai Hackbarth and I am with ProSyst. I saw your interest in our smart home package. I don't know whether you already have an evaluation version of our software. In case you have not, its no problem to provide you an evaluation version. Since ProSyst already provides many ready-to-use bundles, I would say it is relatively easy to start with. We do have support for X10. Wifi will be handled by the Operating System. so you don't have to care about at OSGi level. Bluetooth is a bit tricky. It depends much on the bluetooth hardware and driver you are going to use.

We also provide tools (OSGi Plugin for Eclipse) that make the development of OSGi bundles easier.

You can find our complete documentation at the following URL: https:// dz.prosyst.com/pdoc

Please let me know if you want us to send you an evaluation version of the mBedded Server Smart Home Package & OSGi Plugin for Eclipse and I will arrange everything for you. Don't hestitate to contact me should you have any questions.

Regards,
Kai

Hello!

My name is Dima Litvak. I am master's student in the biomedical
deparment in Tel-Aviv university, in Israel. I am working on the
"Smart Medical Home" project.

I want to it to run on the OSGI framework, and to connect it to X10,
WiFi and bluetooth devices.

In your opinion, what is the best way to do it?

What is the appropriate gateway I can use?

How difficult is it to study how to use the ProSyst's smart home
package, and what is the programming level I need in order to use the
package?

Maybe you know about a ready software that is based on the OSGI that I can use?

Maybe you have done something like that before, or you know someone
that did something like that before, and can give me the relevant .jar
files. It could help me a lot, and save me alot of time.

Thanks, Dima.
