Hi,

We have successfully used different combinations of Knopflerfish and various
JVM:s for the embedded linux space. Both open source (cacao, sable, mika,
jam etc) and commercial (Sun CDC, J9, jbed etc). Each combination with its
pros&cons.

If there is something lightweight also depends on how you define
lightweight;-)

We haven't tried Java SE for embedded yet, but since it's standard Java and
a superset of the minimum execution environment it should/will work.

Regards,
Christer

Hello,

What do you propose for embedded linux solutions?
Is there something lightweight (both from jvm perspective and from OSGi)
that you have used in the past and appreciated it's stability?
Does OSGi executes over Java SE for embedded
<http://java.sun.com/javase/embedded/index.jsp> ?
Furthermore does anyone know how can I make a decision on whether any of
these <http://java-virtual-machine.net/other.html#embedded> is appropriate
for OSGi (and supporting OSGI deployment as well)?

Thx
