Terrorism threat discussed at Notre Dame Posted: 03/23/2005 04:26 pm Last Updated: 03/23/2005 05:24 pm Notre Dame, IN - The threat of terrorism was a lecture topic for the Vice Chair of the 9/11 Commission on the Notre Dame campus Wednesday. Lee Hamilton was an Indiana state representative 34 years ago. He is currently a member of President Bush's Homeland Security Advisory Council. Wednesday, Hamilton said the he could not promise that the United States is capable of freeing itself from the threat of terrorism. Instead, he said many measures have been taken to prevent future attacks. Hamilton insisted that huge strides have been made since September 11, but that the United States still has "a lot of work to do". ------------------------ Yahoo!
