Second Group, Jund al-Sham Organization, Claims Responsibility for Explosion at Texas Refinery Jihadist Websites -- Arabic 24 Mar 05 Terrorism: Second Group, Jund al-Sham Organization, Claims Responsibility for Explosion at Texas Refinery On 24 March, "Al-Walid 6," a new participant, posted to the Al-Ikhlas forum a statement issued by the Jund al-Sham Organization [Tanzim Jund al-Sham] in which the group claimed responsibility for the explosion at the Texas refinery. The group also threatened more operations inside the United States, Italy, and Britain. The group issued three statements on 21 and 22 March in which it claimed responsibility for the attack in Doha, Qatar and threatened "surprises' against its "enemies". Another group, the al-Qa'ida of Jihad Organization in the United States of America posted a statement to the same forum claiming responsibility for the same explosion and promised to issue more details and post a video. The Saudi Al-Ikhlas forum at ekhlaas.com/forum is critical of the US and Saudi Government and dropped its password requirement in late December. A translation of the statement follows: Statement number four from the Jund al-Sham Organization: Oil refinery attack in America In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Prayers and peace be upon the last of the prophets and God and His companions. In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate, wherever you are, death will reach you even if you are mighty towers. The military wing of the Jund al-Sham Organization claims complete responsibility for the Swa'iq al-Fallujah [Al-Falujah Thunderbolts] operation of the blessed fatal strikes on the Texas refinery. Praise God, the operation was exactly the kind we promised you. And God's promise is just. Jund al-Sham [Organization] is able to strike all the enemies of God with an iron fist, wherever they may be. It was the great surprise that we had mentioned in our earlier statements. As long as there is a Crusader or a Jewish soldier in Muslim countries, there will be resistance and martyrdom operations. God willing, there will be future operations inside and outside the United States, and attacks against its economy, as it does [harm] the economy of the Muslims. As for today, the sword has become the cure, and we promise you that our operations will be highly effective operations inside the United States, Italy, and Britain, and everyone who participated in the invasion of the lands of Islam. God willing, we will soon break your cross and your idols, if God permits. God is Great.
