Most of those taking part in the survey favour diplomacy over military intervention as the best way forward with Iran, the poll showed. Some 60 percent of adults surveyed in Britain, France and Germany said they do not consider Iran to represent a nuclear threat. Just over one-third of people surveyed in France, 30 percent of people in Germany and 27 percent of people in Britain said they consider Iran's nuclear programme to be dangerous. But only 3 percent of people believe military intervention would be the best course of action. Of the people in the three countries who view Iran as a nuclear risk, almost 60 percent believe that diplomatic negotiations rather than military force should be used to tackle the problem.
