What is the measure of a false vs true prophet? Anyone apply that to Mohammed?

The self-styled 'Rasul Melayu' casually invited JAIS officers and the Press into his modest four-room wooden house in Kampung Kemensah about 10am yesterday. "Don't worry, I'm a gentleman. You do your work, I won't get in the way," he calmly told the officers. The widower, a former Zoo Negara labourer, was later arrested under Section 8(a) of the Syariah Crime Enactment (Selangor) 1995 for proclaiming himself to be a prophet. The raid followed a two-month undercover operation, code-named Ops Rasul, during which JAIS officers infiltrated the group to uncover the extent of its deviant religious activities. The raiding party, comprising 20 officers and led by Akmal Senin, also seized several documents and audio cassettes, believed to be used to spread his teachings. Abdul Kahar remained calm throughout the investigation and questioning, but broke down in tears when officers searched his daughter's room. "I am sad because you are all ignorant of the truth. If only you knew the consequences of your actions. I am a Rasul for this day and age. How can a Rasul be arrested?" he said. He was later brought to the Taman Melawati police headquarters where his statement was recorded. Two other raids were conducted simultaneously in Puchong Perdana and USJ Subang Jaya, where officers nabbed Abdul Kahar's two acquaintances, Mazli Mansor and Razali Kasan, in their 30s and 20s respectively. Selangor Exco for Islamic Affairs, Youth and Caring Community Datuk Abdul Rahman Palil said this was the third time Abdul Kahar was arrested by JAIS. The last time was in 1991. Following that arrest, Abdul Kahar was sentenced to two months' jail for not attending Friday prayers. "We believe that he has 21 followers. They include businessmen and government employees. "He and his followers have been distributing pamphlets and flyers on his teachings to political figures and the public," he said. Abdul Kahar left school in Standard Five and studied religion from his late father, an imam at the Hulu Klang mosque. He claimed that in 1986, he was anointed as a 'Rasul' by God in Bukit Kemensah, under the same conditions in which God had appointed Prophet Muhammad. If found guilty, he faces a fine of up to RM5,000 or a jail term of up to three years, or both. Abdul Kahar can also be placed in JAIS' centre for restoration of faith in Ulu Yam for up to six months.
