planes. Hasta ayer.

Scotland Yard investigated the London track of 11-M

Shortly before committing suicide in a floor of an apartment in Leanges,
Sarhane Ben Abdelmajid, the Tunisian, member of the commando who perpetrated
the attacks of 11-M in Madrid, called a mobile telephone in London. In this
city lived his supposed spiritual guide, the radical Imam Ben Salawi. And
the attacks of 11-M were reprinted in a British newspaper in Arabic from
official notices that, according to the police, were prepared in London:
when they discovered so many "coincidences", Scotland Yard, the police of
London, created a unit to investigate the British track of 11-M.

The contacts of the Tunisian with the Imam Ben Salawi were very frequent and
coincided with several trips to Spain the radical Imam made. The last known
was in 1996, in which he met with fundamentalist groups and supposedly one
of the strong men of A Qaeda Amer el Azizi.

According to the police, Ben Salawi broke contact with the group formed
around the cleric Omar Othman, Abu Qutada, also resident in London, because
he considered him soft. The radicals had tried on six other occasions to
attack London, but the British police always had ruined their plans. Until
yesterday.
